2026 Community Micro Grants Program

This round of Community Micro Grants Program provides charitable support to individuals facing barriers or challenges by working through the registered charities  that support them.
The program is designed to help individuals access resources, services, and opportunities that promote:
  • Health and well being
  • Accessibility and inclusion
  • Learning and personal growth
  • Independence and community participation
  • Support during times of financial or personal hardship
Who Can Submit a Request?

A Canadian registered charity or other CRA-qualified donee may submit a Letter of Funding Request on behalf of an individual they support.

The organization should have an existing connection with the individual and be able to explain:

The individual's circumstances and need for support.
The purpose of the funding request.
How the request supports a charitable purpose.
The expected positive impact of the funding.

Organizations may submit a Letter of Funding Request by email on official organization letterhead.

Funding is provided to eligible registered charities and qualified donees to support approved charitable purposes that directly benefit individuals in their communities.
What Can Funding Support?

Funding may support needs such as:

Accessibility supports, disability-related equipment, or services.
Health-related needs that improve an individual's well-being.
Support for individuals recovering after living kidney donation.
Educational opportunities, including rabbinical studies or Jewish educational programs.
Activities, programs, or services that encourage learning, inclusion, independence, and community engagement.
How Funding Is Provided

Approved funding is provided directly to the sponsoring registered charity 

The organization receiving the funds is responsible for:

Managing the funds appropriately.
Ensuring the funds are used only for the approved charitable purpose.
Maintaining appropriate records related to the use of funds.
Review Process

Each Letter of Funding Request is reviewed confidentially by an independent volunteer review panel.
Requests are evaluated based on:

Demonstrated need.
Expected charitable benefit and impact.
Alignment with the goals of the program.
Available funding.

Please note Submitting a Letter of Funding Request does not guarantee approval.

Letter of Funding Request Deadline: November 29, 2026

Notification of Decisions: December 20, 2026

Grant Disbursement: Within 5 business days after organizations are notified of approval.
